Stormy Day in Pensacola

You know me. I see beauty just about everywhere I go. Pensacola has a lot of sunshine, but this time of year, also has powerful thunder and lightening storms. No one seems to really mind – Pensacola needs the rainfall, and the storms are powerful, awesomely beautiful. And Pensacola presents herself well in stormy weather.

I love the French Quarter style balconies, the Spanish style architecture – Pensacola has been colonized by the French, Spanish, Brits, and I think even a couple others! The influences on the architecture, both public and private, provide a rich variety of style.

And the natural wetlands, the bay, the bridges – it is at it’s most magical in stormy weather, in my opinion.

  1. I loved the building in the 3rd pic. It has a Mediterranean feel to it that is just home-like 🙂

The obelisk in the park is beautiful. Seems like Pensacola is a really nice place to be in 😀

  2. Hi! You know, I never know how beautiful Pensacola was! When I was little my family went to Florida a few times and for some reason I didn’t like it (might also have something to do with the altantic burning my eyes out) but nowadays I see so many beautiful places in Florida that I think I’ll have to give it another shot.

  3. Kinan, did you notice near the obelisk, did you see the guys sitting out on the bench? Pensacola, being warm, has attracted a lot of homeless guys who hang out there; they can drink water from the fountains and clean up in nearby restrooms. It’s becoming a problem.

Hi Ponti, and welcome! I think you would like The Real Florida. Maybe explore the backroads and parks with someone you love!
