Abandonment Issues
I can hear the Qatteri Cat out in the long hallway. He is moaning pathetically, and it is a little muffled. I smile. I know he is bringing me his baby.
Who knows what a cat is thinking? When I disappear, taking a bath or working in my project room, the Qatteri Cat cries sadly. His cry says “Where are you?” and “I am just a little kitten, and I am alone in the world!”
I say “Qatteri Cat, I am back here!” and he goes and gets his baby, and brings it to where I am. He plays with his baby briefly, and then – he leaves! He leaves me to take care of the baby!
When Adventure Man and I go to the family room to watch a DVD, we try to remember to take the baby with us. As long as we have the baby with us, Qatteri Cat won’t cry.

He’s so clean! My cat used to run and play outside lie down on the greesy streets and come back coughing every time he licked himself and I had to clean him every time π

Wow..he’s tamer than Gabby. When SHE cries…she literally can wake the dead.
Elijah! No more blocking! YAYYYYYYYYYYYYYY! QC’s fur gets knotty in places. I try to keep him combed, but sometimes I have to cut hunks out. It is so long, he can’t truly care for it by himself. And oh! He would love to be an outdoor cat, roll in the grease, climb all the trees. He sort of remembers being free, living on the streets, but I don’t think he would last long in this environment. Someday, insh’allah, when we have a quiet place to live, far from a busy street, he can roam again. π

Blue dress – QC told me to tell you he wants you to come play with him.
Skunk – Hahahahahahahahahahaha – you think you’re being so funny, don’t you? The truth is, I am STAFF. I am feeder, warm place to curl up, chaser, ball thrower, and baby hider (he likes to go find his babies when I hide them) and groomer, and yes, he things that is my JOB. This cat IS king!
R – QC can be really loud, too. Gabby will calm down; she is still very young. As long as you stay calm and positively reinforce the behavior you want, and ignore the behavior you don’t, she will quiet down.
For example, QC sometimes miowwwwwwwws in the middle of the night. I don’t know, he hears something, he thinks he wants to go out. Especially if there is a wind blowing, it gets him stirred up. If you get up and pet him, what does he learn? He learns to MIOWWWWW to get attention. If we ignore him, (and it is really really hard) the behavior dies down. Try it and tell me how it works with Gabby. π
Awwww that’sm just heartmelting.. my cat also has a collection of soft toys which he has adopted, we call them his “little friends”. He takes them everywhere and grooms them it’s just sooo cuuuute.
I think Qatteri Cat is the most beautiful cat Iβve seen for a long time! And the way he love his baby is so cute! I love cats! π
