Ramadan Supplies

Oh! It’s a perfect day to be out shopping. Stores are putting out all the special Ramadan things – and now is the time you can find all the things that have been missing all summer. It’s a lush, wealthy time, anticipating the joys of the coming month of Ramadan.

And look what I found! Straight from the Street of Lanterns?

  4. Well, people go to China to have these things manufactured – you would also find lots of lanterns made in Egypt… nice..

  5. LOL 🙂

Got 2 questions who someone could clear up for me so i could sleep well at night:

    1. Why are lanterns so closely associated to Ramadan? Weren’t they used at any other time in the past?

    2. And what’s up with Vimto? Who made this drink the drink of Ramadan?!!

  6. I’m glad ya’ll like this post, and sorry the photo is a little fuzzy. You know I don’t want to be caught taking photos at the Sultan Center. 🙂

    Welcome Wer3y!

Magical, I haven’t a clue. I think the lanterns are festive, and I love them! But why associated with Ramadan? I think it started in Egypt.

As to Vimto – I don’t even know what it is!

    Anyone? Anyone?
