Rain Rain Go Away
Seattle has had a record amount of rain – the second largest amount in one day in the entire history of measuring rainfall. Roads are flooded, traffic is gridlocked, and my sister is continuously sloshing out her flooded lower story, a grinding, thankless job. It’s a mess.

Here There and Everywhere 
Are you still here, or did you escape in time? Terrible mess down here in Oly too. The new house survived its trial by water but the creek/water runoff behind the houses across the street went way over its banks and flooded the houses across the street. We had a city sand bag crew out here yesterday afternoon. My house is on its own small hill about 8-10 feet higher than the ones across the street. My mama always said to live on the high ground!
