Stating that the incident never happened because it was not reported to them does not mean it did not happen. An eight year old girl does not make up a rape; she doesn’t have the vocabulary, she doesn’t have the experience to create a lie like that.
“No one brought it to our notice” does not mean it didn’t happen.
Indian School denies girl raped by the school bus driver
KUWAIT CITY : An official at an Indian School in Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh on Monday rubbished claims that a girl student from the school was raped last week by the school bus driver.
Reliable sources had earlier told the Arab Times that an eight-year-old student from the school was raped by the school bus driver, who reportedly charmed the girl with sweet talk and took her to his apartment in Jleeb Al-Shyoukh where he raped her.
The girl, who hails from Kerala, reported the incident to her parents after they quizzed her as to why she was late in getting home from school.
Reacting to the reports the school official added: “I can confirm that no such incident happened in our school as no one brought it to our notice.”
The official further added: “We always encourage parents of students to use the school transportation. However, we cannot coerce them into using our transportation. We would have taken immediate action if any such incident was reported to us. The safety of our students is our foremost concern.”
“It is possible that the parents of the victim may not have reported the incident to the school authorities as the student may have been using a private transportation,” the source said.
The source added that the outraged father of the victim reportedly beat up the accused black and blue before turning him over to the police and that the family is in a state of shock trying to come to grips with the incident.
According to the source, a case has been registered at the Jleeb Al-Shyoukh police station and investigations are in progress.
In another incident, a school boy of an Indian school in Abbassiya reportedly impregnated a fellow student and that the two were involved in a long courtship, according to a source. No further details could immediately be obtained.

This is TERRIBLE!
Case registered in Jleeb Shyoukh police station = 90% chance of not coming up with a solution. That place is way out of control and I doubt they’d give this case any priority because there are thousands of the same case in the same area waiting to be solved.
ShoSho – It IS terrible, and the rape is bad enough without the school denying it happened.
Here is what the school should say: We are investigating the allegation that a school bus driver raped one of our students, and our hearts are with the girl and her parents who are suffering at this time.
Mac – No! No! That is outrageous. An eight year old girl and her family deserve better than that. That breaks my heart.
It is pretty sad. The legal system around here is a joke. Good job for the father taking it into his own hands. I’m against violence in most cases, but that may be the only way that man will be punished before the end of his life when he is judged.
God help that little girl ;(
thats really bad how people try to cover up and protect their name for the price of killing the innocence in that girl!
Sam – The problem is that it IS so tempting to take it into our own hands, but that gets us into the retribution thing. The legal system is supposed to mete out justice, and I want the legal system to punish this guy. I hear the Kuwait jails are pretty bad.
DR – You are SO right.
Ansam – Jesus says that robbing a child of innocence is about the worst thing you can do, ever.
That is really horrible, how can the school just deny without investigating and vigorously checking the issue! This is sad! They’re practically saying that the child, and the family are lying about the issue! Why would they do that, there is no reason!
N, it’s a very common human response in every culture, I think – when caught by surprise by bad news, especially embarassing bad news that might show one in a bad light – deny, deny, deny.
Once cooler heads prevail, a new statement will be issued, expressing concern for the family and the girl, and saying they will take all possible measures to insure the safety of their students and punishment of violators, that sort of thing. It’s the right thing, and I expect the school will reach that position soon.
Now – for the police, there really must be an investigation, and this driver must be held accountable. And who knows – he might have done this before.
Yeah, Since the days of schooling back in the late 90’s when I passed out of NES, I’ve been hearing rumors about that school United Indian School.
Isn’t it that same school where a boy died during a picnic?
Well so many incidences are noted down.
I visited that school once and I was shocked to know its a School!! So congested and deteriorated!!
The whole area is pathetic!!
