St. Francis and Animal Friends Bazaar

Good Morning, Kuwait! Today is the Feast of Saint Francis, the patron saint of animals, and kindness to all living creatures. In his honor, we are posting an announcement for a bazaar benefitting the Animal Friends League in Kuwait. One-of-a-kind items, beautifully made, and many unique and high quality vendors will be there, all to help out Animal Friends.

There are two organizations, the Animal Friends League of Kuwait, and PAWS Kuwait. Both work very hard, and use volunteers and local fundraising to help provide assistance for damaged animals, rehome abandoned pets, and educate people about good animal care. This group, AFL Kuwait, also ships abandoned and/or mistreated dogs and cats to new homes in other countries, too, using donated airline miles and relying on good hearted donors. This summer, for example, they lost two significant air conditioners, and generous donors stepped in to save the day.

It’s one of those worthwhile charities filling a need that can never be truly eliminated. They are doing their part.
