Qatar National Day 2010

Qatar’s National Day Celebration is December 18th. Qatar has developed a website especially to publicize National Day activities. You can find it here: Qatar National Day – English)

There is an interactive map on which you can click to find ongoing celebrations, and an event schedule:

I suspect this is going to be one fabulous celebratory year, with the win of the 2022 World Soccer Cup event. Wooo HOOO Qatar!

  1. so proud of them! and i envy their organization.. our national/liberation day basically involved unlocking the cages of animals and having them cause havoc and terror on the streets.

i would love to go to this parade! yay qatarf

    • Oh Mrm, I am so sorry to tell you this, but if anything, the streets in Qatar are WORSE than the national day streets in Kuwait. The PARADE will be awesome, but crowd control and traffic enforcement is non-existent. The car decorations are awesome – they have a lot of those magnetic decorations in Qatar colors, and that is a lot of fun. But the spray foams are also present, and the traffic is gridlock most of the day in most of the city.
