  1. More than a street protest, this Youtube video to me, has all the bells and whistles of a public jubilation. I could even spot men shaking hands and from the sounds of it, they all seemed to say something that sounded remotely, like well,…… Qatari. Don’t tell me Al Jazeera has orchestrated this street protest just to increase their ratings!!
    All in all, was mostly a gay affair – didn’t see too many women there in the rank and file of them; arabian thobes.

  2. Interesting thoughts. The clip I originally saw and could not figure out how to post was, ahem . . . from Al Jazeera. I saw the handshaking, and was thinking it was normal; that’s what men in Kuwait do, and the whole thing did seem very civil, which I loved, and yes, I think you are right, jubilant. Gay? Men wearing thobes don’t make them gay. And no, I noticed that too, no visible women.
