New Mansions in Mangaf (1)

A whole new neighborhood is going up in Mangaf, where once there was nothing but empty land. The streets are strewn with building materials, and sand, and cluttered with construction, but it won’t be long before this neighborhood is up and running.

I love that the designers put an old fashioned wind tower on the top of this house:

Squint your eyes, and you can see the potential here:

This is one of the smaller new houses going up – and even so, it could probably hold ten people without crowding:

Another nicely sized single family home:

  2. Wow..in the 3rd pic, I went there to ask for rent. Beautifully designed from the inside, but unfortunately it was a wee bit over our budget. :/

We toured that area a couple of months back & found lovely houses & wanted to rent. Unfortunately, they either don’t rent for Kuwaitis or after some sweet-talking..give Kuwaitis a ridiculously high figure. Sad. :/

  3. 3rd pic, the mansion in the background with the brick-covered roofs – MARVELOUS!

  4. Simper – Sometimes you take the best shot you can get under bad circumstances. I couldn’t take it from the other side, but neither could I resist taking it, even with the streetlamp, because of the wind tower, which I think is so totaly cool.

R – Small world! Some of these houses are gorgeous!

    Kinano – isn’t it?!
