Ramadan Lantern

I can’t help it. I bought one. I think they are SO pretty. And I bought one for my daughter-in-law, and I bought one for her aunt, and . . . I could NOT resist.

  6. Thank you, all. I love mine, but today, in someone’s courtyard, I saw a HUGE fanoos – like maybe three meters tall. Imagine!

  8. sooo beautiful! I don’t see any here, although they must be around somewhere.

There’s a lovely Ramadan spot on MBC that depicts children smiling in a magic space of curlicue metal sculptures on which / from which hang big spherical white lights. The spheres light up one by one, and the children’s faces glow in delight. The camera then zooms out until you realize that the children and the lights are inside a Ramadan lantern. Its sweet and magical at the same time 🙂

  9. Jewaira – The Sultan Center. There are no more out “for sale” but they are all around as decor, and you can ask them to remove specific ones you want because you want to buy them. (That’s what I did!)
