Parking Hall of Shame

Just four spots away was a legitimate spot, but no! This guy has to leave his rear end half out into the driving lane so that he could be right by the door. I am guessing he only parked there because all the handicapped spots were already taken (by able bodied people.)

The other day I heard a woman say that it is OK to park in a handicapped spot if no one else has taken it because it means that no handicapped person needs it.

What ignorance!

What happens when someone with a leg injury comes looking for that spot? Someone with asthma? Someone old, with joint problems? People who park in a handicapped spot have NO HEART!

  1. Is that Surra Coop? I do that, not park in the handicapped place, but stick my car just slightly out (not as extreme as the car in the photo) because you always get someone blocking you when you try to drive off.

  2. DV – Many of the co-ops have the same layout. This guys’s car isn’t sticking out because it is long; it is sticking out because he is parking in a NON parking spot, by the water-dispensing big brown jug. There is actually a barrier there, he has just parked over it.

  4. Another common scene in Kuwait and I don’t think it’ll come to an end.

  5. there was a cartoon sketch on the subject of handicapped parking spot on AlQabbas (i think) on feb14,2008. it captioned, “You take my parking spot, why not take my handicap as well?”

  6. GreY – LLOOOLLL

Mac – I think it will. I am just feeling sad and impatient. My Dad had very bad emphysema, and he really needed those handicapped spots, while he was still alive. So I guess it’s personal for me.

Mrm – You know, I saw that, but I couldn’t work out the vocabulary! Thank you!
