Gulf Moonlight

It has taken me months to get this shot. It helped that I discovered my camera had a night scenery mode, and then it just took taking enough shots with enough stabilization for the camera (can’t find the tripod) so that it didn’t look like three moons because I breathed during the 2.5 seconds the shutter had to be open to catch the glitter on the glassy waters of the Gulf:

  2. Oh Kinan, stop. The only really good thing about this one is that there is one moon. You should have seen all the others!

  3. You can publish the most beautiful book containing your photos of sunrise and moon light over the Arabian Gulf! Look at the explosive reflection of the moon on the water!

And BTW, your sunrise of Feb 23, found it’s way easily to my desktop… 😉

  4. The moon has been beautiful this week and tonight especially on the sea it was lovely to look at.

I seem to see some bookcases in the background there :p Is it my imagination ?

  5. I was shocked, Lady J. You have sharp eyes. When I write, I am usually sitting at my big window looking out, too much light to spot such subtleties, and I try very hard to make sure nothing like that gets included. I had to move to a shadowy spot and look very closely . . .yep, angle of incidence equales the angle of reflection (or is it refraction?) . . . you caught a reflection in my window. Book cases! Are you surprised?? 😉
