Jazeera to Istanbul

We have almost as much fun in Turkey as we have in Damascus, for all the same reasons. So this morning, when Jazeera announced a new route starting March 29, they got a big Wooo Hooooo from me!

NEW ROUTE! Kuwait Istanbul From March 29!

Considered the gateway to Europe, Istanbul is a quintessentially eastern city, with glittering mosques and decorative splendor. The city has a rich history to explore, with beautiful wooden Byzantine architecture, fascinating museums, and the most glorious mosques. Sample the delicious mezze and kebobs, stroll around the markets and bazaars, enjoy a cup of apple tea and absorb the lively atmosphere.

  2. What cracked me up, Skunk, was that they don’t list the return times! I thought of you when I first saw it. How soon is the big move? I am excited for you!

  3. huh?

i thought the second times are the return times arent they? the turn around time seems a bit quick tho.

i dunno if turkey would be so popular that they have 2 flights a day?

i’m almost ready and i’m excited for me too πŸ˜€ , you and adventureman will have to come visit some time πŸ˜€

  4. You know what sunk, you are right. I didn’t catch that. But since Jazeera is Kuwait based, it makes sense – they offload and load back up, and spend the longest times in Kuwait, where the airlines does maintenance and major cleaning, I am guessing.

I bet Jazeera knows there is a market for Turkey – haven’t you noticed, people here like to TRAVEL! Turkey is a very hot destination these days.

Bite your tongue! We’ll be on your doorstep before you know it! πŸ™‚ You’ll have to serve us fresh orange juice and wonderful fish.

  5. I wish they’d start flying soon enough to Cairo, Hurghada, Athens, Tunis, Marrakesh and Casablanca ( all at once ). Can’t seem to figure out why Cairo is jinxed. Didn’t the Turkish tourism office have its regional bureau in Kuwait ?
Yes, Istanbul is extremely popular with people in Kuwait.

  8. My husband went boar hunting once in Tunisia, and ended up shooting the boar! I got a quarter of it, and it was TOUGH! I had to marinate it and then slow cook it in barbecue sauce for hours to make it edible.

  9. Guess, Turkey is a perennial favourite with everyone in Kuwait. A lot of Kuwaitians already own property there. In fact, were it not for the frequent earthquakes in Turkey many more people would have bought their second homes in Turkey, instead of in the Lebanon or Dubai.

  10. It’s a favorite of ours, too, BL. Do you like Turkey?

Of the turkey you have for Christmas, I am less sure.

  12. I can’t, now. There seem to be two of you, one who is more playful, and one who is more venomous. The IP is similar, but slightly different . . .
