A Love of Colors
A friend who shares a love of both colors and words sent this quiz to me this morning, challenging me to match them up WITHOUT using a dictionary to see how many I got right. I thought I only missed two, but I missed four. This is challenging even for native English speakers. I know some of you will know at least one, because when I looked it up, it was a Persian word! Here There and Everywhere 
Thank you, my friend. Now I know where the wierd ones come from. I was too lazy to look them up–but then, I had the answer key! Who says our hobby isn’t intellectual?
This post proved that I know TOO little.
I inly figured out Azure & Magenta and the worst thing is that I couldn’t even guess the remaining ones.
And I learned “turnsole!” which is a color I really like!
Oddly, much of my knowledge comes from reading a lot of science-fiction when I was younger. Those authors use a lot of exotic words, and I loved them, so I would look them up. My favorite sci-fi learned word was “chatoyant” and no, I am not going to tell you what it means, you have to look it up!
