Thank you, Safat

Can you see the difference? Yousef, at Some Contrast says his stats sank a little, overall, but that individual post hits were fairly normal.

For me, on the other hand, Safat made a difference of about 400 hits a day!

Thank you, Safat, for solving the problem.

  1. Don’t worry too much, people have their own aggregators as well.

  3. 3baid, Enigma said for a while I wasn’t showing up on her feed, either!

Amer, all of a sudden you started posting again! It was a long long wait for those of us who look forward to your posts! And – you post so articulately and give us so much good information. I imagine journalists are tuning in to get insights into the election issues.

  4. Thanks Intlx, I am a lazy blogger, I cannot write regularly unless I am inspired by something, could be Ramadan, ould be freedom of speech, could be the Elections…

Many English language Kuwait blogs have made the switch to Arabic, and have gained a bigger audience, but I have no choice, English is my first language and my background was akin to an army brats — so Arabic is a no-no. But I like it this way, Kuwait only ranks #5 in my blog stats, the USA being #1 by a huge margin over all countries, and I love being an international blog.

Another reason why I stopped blogging was a sense of fatalism. For years we’ve been writing about whats wrong, about the infrastructure, about corruption, about health etc and nothing was done – now the chickens have come home to roost.

  6. The hits per post were affected more than the overall hits, coz you know in Safat people click on each post title, leading to more hits per post. but anyway, I’m so thankful for the people working on Safat! I really appreciate their work 🙂
