Girl’s Night Out
Sorry AdventureMan, I have had my first Mexican meal, and it was wonderful. You could have come! You could have come to wedding with me! You could have had Ivar’s seafood, and you could have had Las Brisas wonderful Mexican food.
My Mom insisted my sister try my new camera and take some photos of me. Of course, we got the giggles and every shot she took of me was worse than the one before. She said the photo gene skipped her, and – Sparkle – I agree. Those were some pretty awful photos. Of course, being hit by that great train jet lag didn’t help me to be a great subject.
Mom had the Camarones al Diablo, her long time favorite, and Sparkle and I had Chicken Mole. It was good, and we are looking forward to some time in California, with non-dumbed-down Mexican food, spicy!
The camarones (shrimp):
Wish I could bring you some, AdventureMan!

I am not a big fan of mexican but u have nice pictures there.
i love mexican food. plz teach me to make it!
me wanty!me wantY! ME WANTYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY!
When I saw the pictures I thought this was a restaurant in Kuwait! Please start off all posts with a warning of sorts:
‘Don’t get your hopes up, we don’t have decent Mexican food in Kuwait’
Now I am craving for chimichangas .. 😦
I’m so hungry! These look yummy!
By the way, I tried sending you an e-mail a couple of days ago and it kept returning to me!!!
Portions! my God!!
Big Pearls, in Kuwait we yearn for Mexican food, so I have to get it while I can!
Mrm – I’m not very good at making it, but I am very good at eating it!
Purg – You wanty everything!
Oh, K.the Kuwaiti, I am so sorry! Please, please, help me to get a really GOOD Mexican restaurant in Kuwait. Did you know the guy who owns the new Italian restaurant Crostini used to run a Mexican restaurant in Denver?
BIE – Oh! You live in Paris! You can eat anything and it will be divine!
Error – It was kind of spread out on the plates; it wasn’t as enormous as my photos make it look. I think I was using a wide angle or something! And we don’t eat it all, mostly just the part we ordered (camarones / chicken) and we leave the rest.
YUM! I miss Las Brisas! I know the Mariachi Burrito isn’t authentic Mexican food, but it is sooooo good!
hmmmmm *craving Mexican food*
Intlxpatr… I was in Colorado, and yes he owned Calvin’s restaurant there.
Now I am also craving Crostini!!!
Oh Little Diamond, we would have loved to have you with us. When Sparkle was trying to take my photo, we were almost helpless with laughter – every photo was just awful. Not just of me, of Mom, too!
Ansam . . . we need to work on Khalid. We all need to support Crostini so he can make a lot of money and open a Mexican restaurant in the same plaza!
I totally love it that Crostini has thin crust pizzas, and lots of vegetarian choices, too!
lol good idea, i am in
i am craving for real mexican enchiladas. where can i find a restaurant with tacos and burotos!!!!!
