1. Intlxpatr ; NEWS FLASH

   Gulf Bank (kuwait) declared bankruptcy just now , Bank Board is sacked and not allowed to leave the country . Kuwait central bank is guaranteeing depositors .

   Do you have any dealing with it

2. Yes! I use it as a landmark to find my favorite gold souk! My very first trip downtown, a very kind Kuwaiti woman took my hand and said “when you want to find (this merchant) if you are standing here in front of his shop, the Gulf bank is right across the street.”

   What a very very sad day in Kuwait.

   On the other hand, my hometown bank was Washington Mutual. 😦 I never thought I would see the day when it would go under. These are the times that try men’s souls – and women’s too.

   Thanks for the newsflash. This is not good news.

   Now since u asked if we recognize where it is i am guessing it must be somewhere in the region…hmmm…there is a cliff so i am going go with either Lebanon or Oman.

   Langkawi is in Malaysia , i never been there , but many kuwaitis like to go there for vacation

9. Langkawi 😀 that’s Malaysia…all Malaysian islands are paradise-like. Unfortunately i didn’t get a chance to go to Langkawi last time 😦 …but this means i gotta take another trip there 🙂
