117°F and Blowing Sand

Lord Have Mercy, I just saw the weather report for Kuwait – at this hour it is 117°F / 48°C and blowing sand. Sounds like a recipe for pure misery. I’m sorry, Kuwait, I hope the dust stops blowing soon!

  3. Daggero, I DO miss Kuwait, and my Kuwait friends, and I miss the sun rising over the Gulf.

Mac – You are right; the lack of rainfall leaves Kuwait more vulnerable to the dust storms, doesn’t it? 😦 Insh’allah, more rain this year.

  5. Most of the time, when dust would blow in, I just stayed inside; most of the time it didn’t bother me. Every now and then, though, there would be something in the dust that made it hard to breathe . . . How are YOU breathing, Ansam? You sound so healthy these days!
