Topsy Turvy Weather

Yesterday Seattle had a record breaking temperature of 103°F, tough for an area that gets so little extreme heat that few houses even have air conditioning. Today, with the continuing dust storm, Doha didn’t even break 100°F.

  1. And I thought it was bad here in Kuwait…if it’s any consolation the military weather guys said it should start breaking up for us here mid-day and now it’s so clear I can see all the way to Fahaheel. Hopefully the break is headed your way (and equally hopeful your mess isn’t headed TOWARDS us!).

  2. I have to say London’s weather has been AMAZING. Just the right mix (for me) of rain, sunshine, clouds and always a lovely breeze.

Hope it changes for you. That dust looks awful.

  3. Isn’t it always raining in Seattle? I’ve never been there but watch a lot of Fraser 🙂

  4. It’s still hazy in Doha – three days now – but it appears incrementally lighter tonight, BJ. The paper here is telling us to watch out for something called silicosis, a lung problem you get from breathing too much dust. Oops.

Lucky, lucky you, Bu Yousef! I hope you are having a wonderful holiday. 🙂

LOL, Mathai, July and August, even September, are often WONDERFUL in Seattle. They tell everyone it rains all the time so they won’t move to Seattle . . . It is beautiful.
