Would You Like Fries With That?

When I saw this, I whopped with laughter, i couldn’t help myself, it was so unexpected and, to me, awful. This is just sad! This is for the kid who wants to grow up to say “Would you like fries with that?”

  1. I don’t know how true it is but in one forward email i received it talks about a speech Bill Gates the Chairman Of Microsoft gave to High School Graduates in California Palo alto? perhaps ??
    and in one of the points he said that a job Flippin Burgers is not beneath the graduates dignity ,and he said that their parents generation would have called such a job an Opportunity .

    So the toy maybe in line with his speech ,as corporate America can not outsource flippin burgers to India .

  2. That is true, Daggero. And I grew up with parents who always said that all honest work has dignity, and that every job is worth doing well. Flipping burgers is hard work. Rude, demanding customers, low pay, on your feet the entire shift, and lots of grease. Very low pay. It’s a start, and it’s a paycheck, but few want their children to aspire to burger flipping, in my country or yours. πŸ™‚

    This burger business is making me think again .
    There must be a machine to grill those burgers automatically on a big scale,because when companies pack frozen ready burger sandwiches by the millions for cafeterias and vending machines ,no way they can afford to hire hundreds of workers to fry them burgers .

    Now if there is a smaller size burger flipper why would burger joints like Micki Dee hire local folks to work there .

    The burger fillipin’ isn’t a safe career after all . You hear that parents who are contemplating to buy this toy for the kids this Christmas .

    This is my first year in a long time entering the world of children’s toys. I am in shock. My son’s favorite toys were my Tupperware containers, and my measuring cups. The expensive toys gathered dust.

  5. I will be honest and tell you my girls love this kind of toy. We have the ice cream shoppe. They love “playing restaurant.”

  6. And I also remember how I loved a little stove that really baked little cakes . . .

    I guess it’s harmless. It just tickled my funny bone.
