Hurricane Issac Headed for Pensacola?
“Time to put your window protection up,” our contractor called us today to say. “The new models show Isaac heading our way.”
Aarrgh. I’m glad we’re going to be in town. From time to time, a very windy storm hits and we get some leakage. Our friend and contractor says it is so rare and so little leakage as to not merit a new roof, but we hate the worrying about it.
We also hate worrying about hurricanes. He suggested we put up the easy ones now, and he will send someone to help with the second story. OK. Aargh.

I’d wondered if you were battening the hatches. I hope you don’t get any severe weather. A better plan, in my book, would be for Isaac to head for TX, losing steam along the way, and deliver some much needed rain to us without a lot of wind to go with it.
Oh Grammy! What a great idea! I didn’t want to pray for Isaac to head in anyone else’s direction, but if Texas needs the rain, is it OK if I pray for Isaac to head that way?? I just really want Isaac to spare Pensacola. In the meantime, this is a great trial run, making sure we have all our hurricane preparations lined up . . . It’s been an interesting day. The weather here is gorgeous; you would never guess we have trouble headed in this direction.

Daggero, thank you, please pray fervently! You might offer Allah the alternative of sending this storm full of moisture to Texas, where Grammy says they need the rain š
Hurricane season began 1 June, but this year, even before June a massive tropical storm hit eastern Florida, massive, just under hurricane strength but loaded with moisture, causing a lot of damage and a couple deaths. Right about now is when storms of historic proportion have hit,and then there have been some to hit as late as, I believe, Thanksgiving (late November.) I think the hurricane season is officially over on 1 December, but we can only estimate; God has his plans and all control.
