GoogleEarth – and SKY!

OgleEarth, one of the best blogs in the blogosphere dedicated to Google Earth, reports a new beta version of GoogleEarth is now available for download with one incredible difference – it also has views of the heavens, a layer called GoogleSky.

I have a hard time believing Google provides so much to so many – FREE. GoogleSky is awesome.

Here is where you can download the new GoogleEarth (and sky!)

  2. Good Morning, GSF! I grew up in Alaska, and loved looking at the night sky, so clear, so black and full of twinkling stars. The snowplow threw up a great heap of snow into our front yard, and we would make castles of them. I would lie on top of the “castle” and gaze. Almost every science project I did was on stars and constellations. Those reports led me to mythology, and from mythology, to a greater interest in how we all see things . . . so yes, I love the Hubble images, I love GoogleSky, and I love love love that Google shares all this with us for free.
