Civil Defiance

When I took the photo of this, I thought it was a lot funnier than it is. When I took the photo, I thought it said “Civil Defiance” and thought it was a great entry for the Fail Blog. Once I uploaded the photo and saw that it was just a mis-spelling, it was much less interesting.

  1. I think it still fits the Fail category – first glance I thought it said Defiance also…think most people will; so it works on an optical “illusion” level rather than an absolute level…meh, it still works.

  2. Glad you saw it my way, BJ. It just really struck my funny bone!

  3. I read ‘defiance’ too on first glance. I always have that trouble with ‘shopfitters’ which I nearly always read as ‘shoplifters’!

  4. I have the same problem, JA, mostly because I read too fast, and sometimes mis-read!
