Doha or USA?

On the homeward drive, I saw this sight, and laughed. There is a clue as to where this is, but it sure looks a lot like a street in the USA:

  1. The writing underneath the McDonald’s arches looks like my handwriting – must be Doha!

  2. It IS Doha, and you are right, that’s Arabic, and as far as I can see, it is the only clue that it is not the USA. Well spotted, Ken!

  4. Oh, you are right! I thought that was the Chili’s sign, but you are right! Well done, Bu Yousef!

  6. I just thought the conjunction of all those American franchise/brands was unbelievable and a little scary. All those fast, heavily processed, heavily salted, heavily sugared foods, laden with fat. Toys R Us is pretty cool; I go there for water guns . 🙂 Never know when you’re going to need a water gun.
