Anthony’s Beach Cafe, Edmonds, WA

These are the bathroom doors at Anthony’s Beach Cafe, in Edmonds, Washington. I am not going to show you any of their delicious food – they already have too many customers, and a long line of people waiting to get in and eat there, especially in this gorgeous summertime weather. Even in winter, Anthony’s is packed.

You would never see bathroom doors like this in Kuwait. But it would be fun to see a door with an abaya, and another with a dishdasha and gutra. šŸ™‚

    I really like it when restaurants and other venues give their bathroom doors a little thought. It’s all in the details for me šŸ™‚

  2. In the airports in Riyadh, the bathroom doors have a veiled face, just eyes looking out on one door, and I think the outline of a thobed man on the other. They were beautiful restrooms, and very clean, too.

    This kind of attention to detail gives me a grin. Someone took a little extra trouble, and I appreciate it/

  4. There’s a Lebanese restaurant in Al Kout (can’t remember the name) that has the face model of a a traditional veiled woman. It was actually very creative. I took a picture but lost it somehow šŸ˜¦

    I have no idea what was on the men’s room, LOL

  5. Little Diamond, I think you have been there once. We went to Scott’s but it was too hot and the A/C wasn’t working, so we went to Anthony’s, big family group, and sat in the corner. It is all hard surfaces, and hard for the older folks like Dad to hear. We’ll go back again sometime, insh’allah soon!

    Magical – oh, you are on a roll tonight, making me laugh at the idea of you skulking around trying to find the MENS room! I know the Lebanese restaurant you are talking about (can’t remember the name, but I think there is only one in the Al Kout Mall)

    It’s called Mijana and I think it has the loveliest view of the Gulf in Kuwait. Very nice food as well!

    Haven’t been to their mens room (nor the ladies room for that matter) though, so I can’t know what’s on the door šŸ˜›
