The Wrong Kind of Attention
Yep. If I wanted people to notice me, I would buy a yellow – orange car. Statistically, they are the easiest to see, and the color people most notice. Think fire trucks (in many countries, not here) and taxis – yellow grabs the eye.
Maybe that’s not enough. Maybe we want to be really really really sure people see us. Aha! Let’s put “Terrorist” on the spare cover, in big letters!
It got my attention.
I am guessing it is some band or something.
I am also guessing that it could get a lot of the wrong kind of attention. Yeh, some people just don’t have any sense of humor. Go figure.

i have a thing for hooded sweatshirts, especially black ones, so i’ve got quite a few from my time in the uk.
being late for a flight one day i just grabbed the nearest one and threw it on. one i got before 9/11.
it just had to be the one with “HOSTILE” on the front in bold red lettering!
needless to say it took ages to get thru airport security at heathrow……

2nd of all..it stopped surprising me at the ways ppl do things to grab attention. Like the moron with a brand new porsche which is spray-painted pink sparkles…

Blue Dress – It’s kind of like the candy house, it DOES grab your eye, doesn’t it? Saw it in a parking lot, could not resist the photo. At first I airbrushed the license, then I decided to just crop it down to the spare-cover.
Vinnie, are you kidding? You are kidding, right? Terrorism is one of the worst things to ever happen to the Kuwaitis who go to school in the US/England/France, etc and to those who own property in other countries. Travel can be a nightmare, just because of your name. Haven’t you been “inconvenienced?” I have, and I am not even Kuwaiti, but I get extra special treatment because my tickets originate in Kuwait/Doha, etc. Yeh, I think Kuwaitis care.

Have you ever seen those custom paint jobs where the laquer looks 5 inches deep and it has sparkles embedded in it? Mostly seen in cherry red or cerulean blue? I’ve always wanted one of those!
I don’t find it so funny when you actually when I think about it! But yes it does get the attention if we liked it or not! But as you said; some people just don’t have any sense of humor.
good grief…of all the things to broadcast to the public on one’s vehicles – can’t we try for something POSITIVE?

Noracassandra – Yeh, it is definitely attention-grabbing. Kind of like in Florida, if you have a Florida State sticker on your car and you are driving through Gainesville (home of University of Florida) you risk damage to your car!
