Today in History

First, congratulations to all our Kuwaiti friends on their Independance Day. 46 years. I hope you have a great celebration.

There is a wonderful website Today in History where you choose any date and you can see all the births, deaths and major events in history. Pretty cool!

Isn’t it amazing what is out there? People have taken so much time and energy to offer information and services to the world community.

  3. Peony, thanks. I remembered there are two holidays, one the 25th and one the 26th, like Independance and Liberation, but then I saw Independence on today and thought I had mis-remembered. Nice to celebrate it when everyone is around! 🙂

Abdulaziz, now I will have to go back and see if I can do a cross search and figure out when your birthday is!

  6. Oh, Purg, sweetie, they’ve been tracking you since your first electronic emission. It’s the code name, and your devilishly opaque posts, you know. They think you are transmitting information to the enemy.

Vinnie – If you have ever read the history of the US, you will know that there is a great force, incremental progress, working even when all we see is corruption and hopelessness. The great hope is in the honesty and endurance and continued good work of the bureaucracy. There is a whole new generation of idealistic Kuwaitis, and this is still a land of opportunity. Hang in there.
