My family and friends outside Kuwait tell me I don’t publish enough Kuwait photos. These two are for you, and I will try to work on this. 😉 These are from a recent trip to the Al Kout mall in Fehaheel, just south of Kuwait.

    Actually I’m not enjoying it, not at the moment I mean. I can’t hold it around everywhere without its bag. I’ve ordered one and still waiting on it to get delivered within the next few weeks. Also the weather doesn’t help at all. :/

  6. Mac, you have to start somewhere! Start with sand and sandstorms!

    It’s OK to criticize, my photos are not all good. Every now and then, I capture something stellar. And I found I had to buy a second, smaller edition of my camera to keep in my purse to zip out and capture a moment, rather than lug my bigger one all the time.

I bet you are one of those women in designer Chloe abbayas in the photo.Try sending your family pictures of Getty beach at dusk, Kubbar island with the naturist reserve on the island and all,the Nuwaiseeb flyover, the gas chamber read the smoking room at KWI International and Sedu house. The shutterbug in you should also try and essay the other face of Kuwait on reel – the downtown Sheraton precinct on Sunday & Friday evenings, the Mirqab roundabout in the evenings and the flea market on Fridays. Who knows the latter pictures just might earn you a winning entry in a photo contest for National Geographic or Life magazine.

  8. Welcome, faith! You have some great ideas for photos. I am a little shy about shooting people – occasionally I will ask someone, but I am very careful. I haven’t seen Kubbar yet, and it sounds lovely – maybe like in February? 🙂

    It’s funny, it’s always harder to take photos where I live, because where you really live, you don’t want to look like a tourist, you know? I need to take some photos even of our local Co-op . . . !
