1. send some dust to beirut please! its hot here, too – and humid. If I walk out of the house with my hair wet (a perk of living here:-)!), it just stays wet. Ugh!

5. The dust is spread by the CIA to cover their flights, its man-made. You can tell by checking sand flakes that fall on you which have tag number originating in Va.

   Becareful, wear goggles and stay indoors.

7. Hi intl’s mom, just an update..it’s 113F right now and 90% of the population are wearing facemasks.

   As for me, my bald head got one hell of a tan. My wife wants to set a griddle on it and make me some breakfast.

12. Oddly and intriguingly beautiful, Intlxpatr. (From a distance/inside, I’m sure.) Sort of “sun dog”-ish refraction of the sun, with dust vs. ice crystals!

14. Sparkle – It’s funny how much the desert and the arctic are alike. Honestly! You wait for temperate weather and you spend all the time outside you can while it is nice. When the temperatures get extreme, you run from you car to the building to the home – and you stay inside. Hot and cold – it doesn’t matter much which extreme it is!
