  1. Ok now this is the base on which we have to do a ‘little’ modification; ie
    1. adding a little vignetting
    2. using the burn tool on the background buildings
    3. or use a sketch tool to make it look like a drawing on paper.. the possibilities are endless ! 🙂

  2. What I really like is that the fishing guys came out really dark, and there is a lot of texture and surface in the photo. Vignetting? How does that work – I am sorry, I don’t know what that is. In fact, I also don’t know what a burn tool is; I don’t think I have one. The sketch tool . . . no, the only thing I have to work with is iPhoto.

  3. It’s not a bad shot. The negative that stands out most to me is 1/2 the frame is empty skyline. You might try just cropping the top 1/2 of the shot off (I just scrolled the browser screen to the top of my display to see the effect) so that it looks more like a panoramic shot.

btw – It reminds me of my trip to Bahrain. My friend and I were on the roof of his apartment when he said, “Look! There’s the Bahraini National Bird,” and pointed. He kind of smiled when he said, “It’s the crane.” (I count at least 8 buildings in the photo that have construction “cranes” on them 🙂

  4. BitJockey, that would be my criticism, too, all the bland sky. So I just posted what my friend Yousef did with it – now you take a shot. 🙂 Make it a better photo. 🙂
